About Waleed
Waleed Ahmed is a Web3 security researcher and the co-founder and CEO of VulSight. He balances his time between actively auditing blockchain infrastructure and building VulSight’s core product: strict authorization controls for AI agents that execute financial transactions. As the company’s lead researcher, he personally directs the team on security reviews across DeFi, perpetual exchanges, real-world assets, and Layer-1 and Layer-2 networks.
Known in the security community under the handle ZeroCipher, Waleed has delivered more than 100 audits across the EVM, Solana, Move, Cairo, and DAML ecosystems. His track record in competitive audits places him among the top researchers globally, currently holding Top 12 on the Immunefi 2026 leaderboard, Top 16 on Cantina, and Top 27 on HackenProof.
His research extends beyond smart contracts into core network infrastructure. Waleed is credited with discovering CVE-2026-26314, a high-severity denial-of-service vulnerability in Ethereum’s geth client. VulSight currently ranks 15th on the Ethereum Foundation’s Execution Layer bug bounty leaderboard and recently secured a $300,000 Immunefi bounty for a critical disclosure. He also holds OffSec’s OSWE and OSWP offensive security certifications.
