Solo builders and teams — engineers, founders, designers, vibe coders. Bring prediction-markets experience or come in fresh; we’ll match you with mentors either way. The hackathon is hybrid, so builders from anywhere in the world are welcome.
Can I join the hackathon online?add
Yes. Roughly 100 builders will join online for the workshops, the education week, and the full 24-hour build day. Apply the same way and indicate that you’ll participate remotely — we welcome builders from anywhere on the globe to hack the future of prediction markets.
Do in-person builders get a Philippines Blockchain Week ticket?add
Yes — builders attending the physical hackathon in Manila get a free entry ticket to the Philippines Blockchain Week main event.
Do I need a team to apply?add
No. Apply solo and use Education Week (Jun 11–18) to form a team via the Telegram channel — open to both in-person and online builders. Teams up to 5 builders.
What do I build on?add
Any chain, any stack. Bring your existing repo or start fresh. You can stack multiple SDKs in one project.
Where do I sleep during the 24 hours?add
In-person builders sleep at the venue — rest areas, food, and coffee throughout. Bring a hoodie. Online builders hack from wherever in the world they’re based.
Is travel or accommodation covered?add
Partial travel grants are available for select international in-person builders. Indicate your need in the application; we’ll review case-by-case. Online participants don’t need to travel.
What are the judging criteria?add
Technical depth, originality, real-world fit for prediction markets, and demo polish. Top 15 pitch on the PBW main stage (in-person teams pitch live; online teams pitch over video).
