Omar-Shakeeb Zahir is Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of SecondLane, where he leads strategy, partnerships, and execution across private markets, building institutional-grade legal and regulatory foundations. Active in digital assets since 2016, he now works with founders, investors, and institutions across private markets more broadly, on structured transactions, market access, and long-term ecosystem development.

Prior to becoming CEO, Omar served as Chief Business Development Officer at SecondLane, where he played a central role in expanding the company’s client base, strengthening institutional relationships, and shaping its commercial strategy, with a strong focus on legal, operational, and governance standards.

Omar is also a limited partner in venture funds including Multicoin Capital, ParaFi, and Topology Ventures, and has backed frontier technology companies such as Figure AI and Apptronik.

With experience across both operational and capital contexts, Omar operates at the intersection of institutional adoption, capital formation, and regulatory evolution. He is focused on building durable infrastructure across private market segments where liquidity remains constrained, driven by a belief in technology’s potential to enable long-term, meaningful social impact at a global scale.
